Academy begins operations
As he announced, his Academy is set to begin operations by the end of this year as well.
“We are currently in the expert development phase, and we will probably open the Academy this winter. We organized a camp late last year, where about 30 players trained. It’s a good way to test our methodology and approach. We received positive feedback, and, interestingly, this is when I worked as a coach for two weeks for the first time ever. I enjoyed it, it made me happy. Tennis is my life. The Academy is a demanding and complex project, but I am ready to realize it and make it my legacy. Goran Ivanišević and Viktor Troicki are coaches here as well, we have assembled a good team and we are expanding it. There is a lot of work to be done, but it is exciting because we want to support tennis in Serbia and the region. We have got a lot of talent here. Janko Tipsarević has got his own academy too, it is doing well, which is a great thing. Serbia is doing good things right now.”
