Kecmanović: I feel good ahead of Belgrade Open

Kecmanović: I feel good ahead of Belgrade Open

Miomir Kecmanović will face Pablo Cuevas in the first round of Belgrade Open. Regarding the draw held yesterday, he commented that he hopes he will make it as far as possible:

“I have a difficult opponent in the first round, but I think that I’ll be able to play well and make it as far as possible, and I hope that I will get a chance to play against Novak again in the quarterfinals.”

He added that he feels good ahead of the tournament. “I feel good, we practiced a lot in the past days, and I played and practiced well. I hope that I will be able to channel everything we did this week – how I thought, worked hard and fought. I hope that I will be able to maintain a good rhythm.”

Miomir also said that everything that he is working on with coaches is becoming better, that he shows it when he plays, and that he hopes he will soon show it with results achieved. When it comes to his coach, David Nalbandian, he said that he believes he is satisfied with his performance, and that it is great to have him on his team, and that it is good to work together. “We get along great, and everything is going nicely. I hope that we will be able to achieve all our goals.”

When asked if Belgrade Open will serve him to achieve the best result possible in the Serbian capital, or as a preparation for Roland Garros, he said that he would like to show good tennis in Belgrade, but to also prepare well for Roland Garros.

After Roland Garros, Miomir will start preparing for tournaments played on grass, he registered for all of them, but he will see whether he will also play all of them.
