Verdasco trains at Dorćol
Belgrade Open, 250 series tournament, will be played in the Serbian capital starting on Sunday, and one of the tennis players who trained at the courts of Novak Tennis Centre was Fernando Verdasco.
He arrived to Belgrade as the 105th best tennis player in the world, and he had the best rank of his career in April 2009, when he was at the seventh position.
During his career which has lasted twenty years already, the Spanish player won seven tournaments in the single category and eight doubles. Together with Spain’s Davis Cup team, he held the trophy up two times so far, in 2008 and 2009, and in 2018, in his home town of Madrid, he achieved the 500th victory of his career.
During this year, he played only three matches, and lost all three (at the Masters in Madrid, ain Estoril and at the Miami Masters).
